If anyone knows of a way to share that entire calendar with parents WITHOUT requiring them to make an account, LMK! I messed around with earlier today, and I like a lot of things about it (including the fact that it is free), but couldn't find a way to create a publicly-available link for students and parents to view, which is a dealbreaker for me. I think this is great if the whole school or district uses it, but not great for an individual teacher unless you only teach one prep.

Parents/kids can view it with a direct link they have the option to create a user account, so if other teachers at your school use this, the kid can get a personalized calendar with all their lessons for the day in one place. Easy to bump, stretch, and move lessons around. Easy to create repeating events that display in the same box as lesson plans.

The calendar displayed only the event title, so interested kids/parents could just read a brief description of the day's lesson, and click through if they wanted a detailed description or to download relevant documents. I really liked how it allowed you to add more pages to your website. Also decent, but I used it when I had only two preps, and it created totally separate calendars for each one, rather than allowing me to see both classes at the same time when planning.

You can create repeating "events," but they show up separately from lesson plans. It displays everything you type in on the calendar, so it can be a bit wordy/overwhelming, but parents and students don't have to click through to find what they need. It allows you to copy the same class to a new year (never did this myself). It's possible to share with parents, but kind of a PITA (you have to create an individual link for each course and then share the link for them to click on). You can view your whole week at a glance even with lots of preps (4 will fit on the screen easily unless you have typed a lot into the lesson box), but you can also isolate one prep at a time when planning out your unit. It's easy to type in what you are doing and upload relevant documents, and to tag standards in lessons. Pretty decent and I may go back to this if I can't find something better. So, if you use an online lesson planner (whether you pay for it yourself or it's provided by your school), can you let me know what you like and dislike about it? I looked for old posts, but can't find any newer than 4 years old. I do plan my own units out in Word documents, but I am looking for an online service where I can map things out on a calendar and then share it with parents and students.
